Interior Design Frequently Asked Questions FAQs
What exactly is included in a free interior design consultation?
Well, for starters, it’s a chance for us to really chat about your space and what you’re hoping to achieve. We’ll dive into your requirements – what you like, what you definitely don’t like, your lifestyle, all that good stuff. And yes, a big part of it is that you’ll get a free Bill of Quantities (BOQ). Our designers will guide you through the whole process, offering initial thoughts and ideas tailored to your specific project. Think of it as a friendly brain-dump session where we figure out the best path forward together. It’s pretty helpful, I think!
How long does it typically take to get the BOQ after the consultation?
That’s a good question, and one we get a lot! Since our free consultation includes that detailed BOQ, we really take our time to break everything down for you. Because Swami Interior believes in transparency and getting it just right, it usually takes a couple of days to put together. We’re not just pulling numbers out of thin air; we’re meticulously detailing everything so you have a really clear picture. So, a little patience really pays off here, perhaps just 48 to 72 hours, something like that.
Is there any obligation to proceed with Swami Interior after the free consultation?
Absolutely not, not at all! This free consultation is truly that – free. Think of it as a no-strings-attached opportunity for you to pick our brains, understand the possibilities for your space, and get that BOQ. Our main goal here is to give you valuable insights and a clear understanding of what your project might entail. If you decide we’re not the right fit for whatever reason, or perhaps you just need more time to think things over, that’s perfectly okay. No pressure, We promise.
What should I prepare or bring to the free consultation?
Hmm, that’s a thoughtful question! Honestly, you don’t have to bring anything specific, but it can be super helpful if you have some ideas floating around. Maybe some pictures of rooms you love (Pinterest boards are fantastic for this!), or even just a rough idea of your budget. If you have floor plans or dimensions, that’s a bonus, but don’t stress if you don’t. Really, the most important thing is just to come ready to chat about your vision for the space. We can take it from there!
Can I get a consultation if my project is small, like just one room?
That’s a really good question, and I appreciate you asking for clarity on that! We get this quite a bit. To be upfront, Swami Interior specializes in complete home interiors and full-scope turnkey solutions. We’ve found, through our experience, that undertaking partial projects or working in occupied homes where residents are still living in the space can actually lead to quite a few challenges.
Things like dust, noise, and having our team and materials moving through a lived-in environment often become quite disruptive and, frankly, irritating for homeowners after just a couple of days. We want your interior design journey to be as smooth and enjoyable as possible, and trying to manage partial work in an occupied flat often makes that difficult for everyone involved.
So, while we’d love to help with every design dream, our services are best suited for full home transformations where we can ensure a seamless, efficient, and less disruptive process for you.
