Amit Shah’s 2BHK Turnkey Renovation at Skyhigh Building, Kandivali East
Amit Shah’s family had an old, worn in apartment at Skyhigh Building developed by Kanakia in Kandivali Shankar Gali that needed to work for a multi generational household modern enough for everyday life, but still rooted in the family’s traditions. Swami Interior took this on as a full turnkey project, stripping the flat back to its shell and rebuilding it into a home fit for the whole family in Kandivali East.

Project Snapshot
- Location: Skyhigh Building, Malad Shankar Gali, Kandivali East, Mumbai
- Configuration: 2BHK
- Scope: Full turnkey renovation of an existing apartment, including flooring, bathrooms, and balcony
- Timeline: Approx. 20 to 24 weeks
The Brief
This was a complete renovation of an older apartment, not a fresh shell — the old flooring came out, both bathrooms were broken down and rebuilt, and the balcony was extended as part of the scope. The brief was to create a home that blended contemporary design with the family’s traditional values, comfortable enough for multiple generations living together. Our residential interior design process rebuilt the apartment from the shell up around that brief.
Living Room
The living and dining area was designed as the heart of the home, with a standout feature: both the TV back panel and the dining table are finished in onyx, each fitted with backlit LEDs so the stone glows when the lights are switched on.
Kitchen
The kitchen was rebuilt as an open, modular space with custom cabinetry, designed to stay connected to the living and dining area rather than closed off.
Master Bedroom
The master bedroom includes a wardrobe finished in acrylic laminate with openable doors and gold handle detailing, for a refined, elegant feel.
Family Bedroom
The family bedroom was designed with a modern wardrobe alongside a traditional Indian style seating area by the window, blending contemporary storage with a nod to the family’s roots.
Bathrooms & Balcony
Both bathrooms were broken down completely and rebuilt as part of this renovation, and the balcony was extended to give the home more usable space.
